根據WEF推估，到2040年全球充電站商機將達5,000億美元（約台幣14兆元），是電動車(EV)相關產業供應鏈業者的大商機，今年的台灣國際人工智慧暨物聯網展(AIoT Taiwan Show)中，由電電公會主辦、台灣數位科技產業學會協辦的「AI數位生活館」，起而行綠能和宏茂光電的策略聯盟，以及新推出AIoT產品及服務非常令人注目，吸引不少國內外媒體的鎂光燈。

新創公司起而行綠能，由工研院機械所研發團隊創立，成立四年來在董事長簡金品帶領下，已成為國內外電動車大廠在電動車充電樁合作的首選。此次透過和宏茂光電在物聯網光學影像的異業結合，將充電樁的管理升級為遠端智能影像管理方案，帶給營運商更高的附加價值。除基本的車牌辨識、人臉辨識、停車場進出入分析外，更嵌入車流分析，車形辨識及充電哨兵模式等演算法，附帶儲能櫃(BESS)應用的熱輻射溫度監控方案，大幅提升車聯網(IoV)安全監控數據的水平。
