HLO is a developer and provider of enterprise solutions based on the company’s Visual AI and AIoT technologies. We currently offer integrated hardware-software solutions for smart EV charging, smart parking lots, and smart power grid management.
HLO has 21 issued patents and 7 pending patents focused on technologies to assist machine seeing and visual interpretation. Visual AI typically requires significant processor capability as well as high power consumption. HLO focuses on methods to bring visual AI functionality into hardware/software solutions cost effectively.
While most view an EV charging station as a mechanical system that adjusts the supplied power to that needed by the EV, we reinvented the EV charger using our expertise, foresight, and technology to add functionalities that would typically require a human attendant. Adding car and license plate or facial identification or shape recognition to the EV charging solution enables new functionalities like robot auto-charging, and a superior customer experience including appointment-based charging. And as the system is smart and 24/7 taking readings, malfunctioning chargers are immediately detected. Drivers finding an HLO charging station on their phone can be assured they will get a charge, not to mention about the potential charging market for all kinds of robots.
HLO smart charging parking solutions have been commercialized in Taiwan with major parking lot operators. The company is currently developing a Fleet version of its smart charging system for U.S. & Maleka, the leading tourist city in Malaysia. HLO plans to bring its AI driven smart charging solutions to the US and Europe in 2025.
HLO is currently co-designing a smart grid management system for the country of Bahrain. The system utilizes HLO’s proprietary technologies and expertise to “cost down” AI oversight and system-wide management - applied to power distribution networks.
HLO smart grid solution utilizes the company’s non-visual AI driven systems for data measurement, combined with visual AI and AIoT power detection systems for key utility infrastructure and operating equipment. Going smart benefits utilities and users via increased efficiency, reduced outages, quicker recovery after outages, reduced peak demand and improved security. As usual, the big hindrance to uptake of smart grid solutions is cost.
